To seek tranquility it's here, we can relax a little on the fringe of the lake with stunning views of this. Background mountain chain along the edge of the lake adds to the beauty of the lake. The air was fresh and the breeze was cool greet so we stopped at the edge of Lake Singkarak

Location of Lake Singkarak is also quite convenient if you want to drive around to several attractions in West Sumatra. The lake is located in the middle between Solok and Padang Panjang. With such a position if you want to go to Lake Singkarak, from Padang, you have two options, pass through the town Padang Panjang or from the city of  Solok.

Lake Singkarak is famous for its fish and called " Bilih" which is the only living species of fish in this lake. This fish is very unique because it can not survive anywhere, even in an aquarium except in Lake Batur
